The University of Northern Iowa’s RTNL Outdoor Adventures program offers students the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and immerse themselves in nature. This student-focused initiative provides a range of exciting outdoor activities that cater to diverse interests and skill levels, from ice climbing to cross-country skiing, and rock climbing to backpacking.

These trips are not just about physical activity but are gateways to personal growth and community building, open to all UNI students and community members over 18.

Participation in these adventures includes transportation, entry fees, and essential equipment like tents and backpacks, but participants are advised to bring their food and personal items.

While some activities may have physical demands, no prior experience is generally required, making these adventures accessible to all. ^^, UNI Outdoor Adventures is not just an escape from the routine but a journey towards self-discovery, skill development, and community engagement, a testament to the university’s commitment to holistic student development.
