BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kaiser Permanente Pediatrician Obesity Champion in Kern, Dr. Ebrahim R. Oomerjee, joined 17 News at Sunrise to talk about healthier school lunches for kids as back to school season begins.

Dr. Ebrahim Oomerjee asks parents to look at the big picture, meaning to look for foods with fiber such as apples, bananas, all types of berries, carrots, and other vegetables.

Plus, as Dr. EbrahimOomerjee said, berries are, “…tasty, they can be easy to eat so they are easy finger foods.”
